EP 10: DON'T MISS THE MOMENT

THE RELEASE IS THE REAL START.

Film tourism doesn’t start when filming wraps—it begins when the audiences discover it and the credits roll.

That’s when imagination kicks in, and people start looking for ways to experience what they felt on screen. This is how you turn that feeling into something people can see, share, and act on.

And social media is one of the most powerful tools you have to keep that story going. 📲

Here are a few ways to use it intentionally:

👉 Then + now

Show what a location looked like on screen and what it looks like today. It’s one of the simplest ways to connect fiction to real place, and audiences love it.

👉 Lean into moments

Anniversaries, release dates, filming milestones. These are built-in opportunities to show up consistently and give people a reason to engage.

👉 Go behind the scenes

Talk to property owners. Share production insights. Add context to what people saw on screen. The more story you provide, the more meaningful the experience becomes.

👉 Meet audiences where they already are

Platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and especially SetJetters connect you directly with people actively looking for filming locations to visit.

Here’s the key:

👉 You don’t need a big budget.

👉 You need stories and a plan to share them.

And most communities have more than enough of both.

🎬 Follow along as we continue building your Film Tourism strategy.

What’s one film-related story from your community you could share this week?
